Your AngelVision Team
Michael Jingozian :: Founder and President
WHO: I am the founder of AngelVision Technologies. I do everything that no one else likes to do. Fortunately, I get to take the credit for everything that goes right and, from time-to-time, the Team lets me feel like I’m still in charge. My greatest satisfaction is the feedback we get from clients. It’s great working for a company where so many clients love us – that is, since I stopped handling production.
WHAT: Although I spend most of my time working
with AngelVision and RESET America (see below),
my real enjoyment is playing with my kids. We
love choo choo trains and playing with bubbles.
HUH?: Don’t let your past affect you in
the present. Don’t accept the status quo.
Michael is also the Founder of RESET America and Libertarian Candidate for President of the United States. RESET America is a viable plan to save our nation and planet before valid solutions disappear forever. You can read about his campaign in these recent articles:

Jen Bell :: Vice President of Production
WHO: Here at AngelVision, my job is to do what no-one else wants to do: be responsible for every movie that we produce. From creating each project's production schedule to ensuring that everyone involved sticks to it, I am the friendly reminder (to our clients) and demanding manager (to our developers) that keeps the process running smoothly. I manage expectations (no, Impact Movie does not mean video...), gather all of your source materials, act as a liaison between your team and ours, and make sure that your movie is consistent and conforms to our high quality expectations. So once you start a movie with us, that nagging reminder in your Outlook calendar that keeps popping up every 15 minutes is probably from me, needing a logo or a script confirmation.
WHAT: But seriously, my job is really to make this process as easy as possible for our clients. I will do everything I can to give you the movie you are looking for, without making it feel like it’s been three months of work to get it.
HUH? “It's a short trip from riding the waves of change to being torn apart by the jaws of defeat.”
Matt Adams :: VP of Business Development
WHO: Matt Adams is one of the tallest members of the AngelVision Team and prides himself on high leg kicks during our infamous Sales Dances. Hired to act as our VP of Business Development, Matt likes to refer to his position as an AngelVision Evangelist who spreads the good love of Impact Movies to the people…enlightening the masses to the new world of marketing & sales.
WHAT: After graduating from college and growing small businesses during the technology boom, Matt escaped the rat race to rule the world… I mean, travel the world. He quickly learned that it’s not all about getting from point A to B…but how you get there that makes the difference. He can most often be found toying with his camera, concocting a new adventure, or helping someone understand how an Impact Movie could change their life…
HUH? “It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.”
Jeff Otis :: VP of Marketing & Sales
WHO: I’m not funny. I spent all night thinking how I could come up with a creative bio here and I’m just not funny. Matt, Jennie and Dirk think I’m funny but that’s about it. I’m actually quite serious. In fact I used to wear a suit and tie and then I burned them one day. That’s all I’ve got so far...
WHAT: When I’m not assisting our clients in developing their businesses and helping them creatively implement an Impact Movie into their sales cycle, I spend the rest of my time trying to figure out how to coach 4th grade girls to run the pick-and-roll offense. It’s not easy in today’s free agent marketplace. Depending on who you talk to, I also spend a little or a lot of time on the golf course. There’s nothing like spoiling a good walk.
HUH? A flute without holes is not a flute. A donut without a hole is a Danish.
Dirk-Jan Boekee :: VP of Operations
WHO: As Vice President of Operations, I make sure that everything is running smoothly like a well-oiled machine. In other words, if anybody has a problem, they come to me. If anybody has a question, they come to me. If anybody is wondering what shade of red will look best on their toenails... they come to me. So recently, I have replaced myself with a cardboard cutout of Jean Luc Picard. I am also the head of the technology department and make sure that everyone's computer is equipped with the latest technologies, and that the servers are running our Impact Movies as quickly as they can. If you have a question that is not sales or production related, you should probably come to me. (or my card-board cutout of Jean Luc Picard.)
WHAT: I am the glue that holds AngelVision together. And no, you don't get to sniff me. I believe AngelVision holds the secrets of sales and marketing, which are two things:
• Market in a different way from that of your competitors
• Buy an Impact Movie to find out how
(Dirk is also banking on the “Employee of the Year” award.)
HUH? "Marketing is like a box of chocolates... hmm.. chocolates.... what were we talking about again.
Ben Mason :: Scripting Director
WHO: I’m from Bakersfield, California, which means I’m lucky to be able to write, much less make a living at it.
WHAT: In my role as Scripting Director, I have the privilege of speaking at length to our clients, asking questions and finding the crucial bits of information that will allow us to effectively reach their clients—keeping in mind key factors such as tone, phrasing, audience, feel, pain, and myriad other angles/considerations. In the end, our goal is not only to provide the audience with information, but to invite them into a discussion about the benefits that our clients’ products/services have to offer. It’s more than a sales pitch, but a dialogue, one that treats them not just as “prospects,” but as discerning professionals who need quality information to make informed decisions.
A secondary, more personal benefit is that I get to ask the sort of stupid questions that most of us have to give up when we're ten, like: "What if you tear off mattress tags?" "How do banks work?" and "What does an alpaca feel like?"
HUH?: “Reference this bio in your initial interview and receive a story about my Chia Garden FREE!”
Richell Wilson :: Director of Operations
WHO: I am the volleyball star (and maybe future Olympian) of the office! A So Cal native, I found my way to Portland on a full volleyball scholarship to Portland State. After graduating with a Health Science degree, I played professional volleyball in Europe, aided people in reaching their fitness goals as a personal trainer and exercise specialist, managed a clothing store, and now here I am at AngelVision.
WHAT: I wear many hats at AngelVision (my favorite being a cowboy hat!). No really, I am the behind the scenes specialist on our popular "Coffee With AngelVision" Presentation, Accountant extraordinaire - which means I am the one that calls and hounds you when you forget to pay, Office Supply Buyer, and the organizer of fun events like the Hood To Coast and Race for the Cure. Basically I make sure everything outside of sales and production runs smoothly.
HUH? “Can you draw a dragon?...TROGDOR!!! THE BURNINATOR!!!”- homestarrunner.com
Amanda Placencia :: Project Manager
WHO: I’m a soon to be mom who enjoys LOUD electronic music and driving at fast speeds. I enjoy the outdoors here in the great northwest and like to consume large quantities of caffeine in the form of either coffee or Red Bulls.
I’m from Hillsboro, OR originally but have lived in Alaska, California and Montana for brief moments in time. I’m a graduate of Westwood College and have a degree in Graphic Design/Multimedia. I spent 5 years in the hospitality industry so I know where to get you a good hotel room if you need one!
WHAT: I am your Project Manager-the go between person between you and the artsy folks. I’ll make sure that you receive your scripts, rough drafts and final movies on time! I’m also responsible for making sure that you get the best movie possible!
HUH? Dirk, when’s the next Red Bull contest?
Tara Kendall :: Project Manager
WHO: I was born and raised in Fraser, Colorado. I learned to ski before I could walk, which is possibly why I'm not the most graceful of ladies and a bit of a speed-a-holic. I graduated from Western State College of Colorado with a BA in Business Administration in 2000. The day after graduation, I packed up my shoes, handbags and dog and headed west to Portland. In 2006, I completed my MBA at Marylhurst University and shortly after that gave birth to our beautiful son, Xavier Steele. After realizing the isolation of being a stay-at-home mom wasn't good for me, I've re-entered the workforce here at AngelVision (my husband is thrilled).
WHAT: As a Project Manager, I serve as liaison between my clients and the AngelVision team. I stay on top of the production of your Impact Movie to make sure we capture your vision accurately. My goal is to make this as painless as possible, while poking and prodding everyone to deliver your Impact Movie on time. Developing an Impact Movie is a detailed process, so I will work my hardest to ensure you have a positive experience while working with AngelVision.
HUH?: WU? OMG, INBD. IDK, my BFF Jill. TISNF!!
Darby Hasbrouck:: Project Manager
WHO: I come from a very small town in the middle of no where and I was lucky enough to escape. I've been living in Portland ever since I graduated from college and I absolutely love it here!
WHAT: I'm a Project Manager which means I am the liaison between the client and the staff here at AngelVision. I will assist the client through the entire process until they are perfectly satisfied with their movie. There are many detailed steps involved in the production of an Impact Movie and I do my best to make sure you have a pleasant experience. It's very satisfying to finish a project that will help the client enhance their business.
HUH?: LOLCats really aren't that funny!
Rachel Theron :: Project Manager
WHO: One afternoon while daydreaming under a shimmering Aspen with blue skies overhead and beautiful light rays filling me up with invigorating Vitamin D, I thought it wise to move from Flagstaff, AZ to Portland, OR where some said the months of rain and constant gray could be taxing. However, it’s been harder adjusting to people pumping my gas than the occasional non-stop drizzle.
Before Portland, there were impromptu gallivants to South Africa, college and Mexico, as well as occasional trips to Vegas and California. But now I’ve happily rooted myself in the Northwest where, admittedly, I sometimes long for blue skies, red dirt and chilaquiles from Martans.
WHAT: I’m a Project Manager, the main contact and bridge between clients and the Angel Vision team. I keep everyone on track, on time and strive to make the three-month Impact Movie process as effortless as can be! I also do cartwheels.
HUH?: I no longer enjoy swimming in the ocean due to the fact sharks are always in close proximity to a swimmer.
John Bohlmann :: Graphic Designer
WHO: I’ve been an artist all my life so it makes perfect sense that I would become a graphic designer. I was pleased to discover in college that I could actually get paid to be creative rather than settle for being the proverbial “starving artist”. I have an overwhelming uncontrollable compulsion to create visual art. I love what I do, but since I get paid for it, I do it even better. Don’t tell Michael this, but whenever we have a staff meeting and it looks like I’m taking notes, I’m actually drawing. I can’t stop.
WHAT: As the graphic designer here, I make sure your movie looks as good as it can be. At the same time, though, it won’t be pretty just for the sake of being pretty. Form follows function and that carefully balanced equilibrium is what makes an effective impact movie. Actually, since I’m the graphic designer, why am I writing this? I mean, I’m a visual person. Shouldn’t I be drawing a picture instead? How ‘bout instead of putting up some dorky photo of me I do a really cool cartoon instead?
HUH? “Well, art is art, isn't it? Still, on the other hand, water is water. And east is east and west is west, and if you take cranberries and stew them like applesauce, they taste much more like prunes than rhubarb does. Now, uh... Now you tell me what you know.”
Kathleen Donohue :: Script Writer
WHO:I’m Kathleen, resident script-wrangler here at the Angelvision ranch. I hail from Cincinnati Ohio, land of presidents, the greatest baseball team EVER, and nectar of the gods—Skyline Chili. I’m known for my compulsive behavior (I tear tags off mattresses, sleeping bags and pillows—even if they’re not mine) love of trivia (which was the FIRST professional baseball team? See answer below) and obsession with Seinfeld (most oft-heard phrase during script reviews… “That’s gold, Jerry, GOLD!”). My compulsion to live in unflat states that begin with “O” has led me from Ohio to Oregon… sorry, Oklahoma. I have lived in Europe for 3 years. I speak ein bisschen Deutch, de nada Spanish, some English, and a whole lot of igPay atinLay (it comes in handy around here). While I pine for world travel (do you ever yearn, George?), I’m happy for now to live in beautiful Portland with my three rotten boys, one goofy dog and one bratty cat. I believe in leaving a place better than you found it… that is, until I walk through my front door every day.
WHAT: As scriptwriter, I review the materials you provide (website, marketing materials, press releases, etc) and listen ardently to your taped conversation with Ben, our scripting director. My goal? To learn everything I can about your business, your audience, and your message. I then roll up my sleeves and get to work to produce the best dang first draft EVER (most of the time, I use a computer… occasionally, I require a reciprocating saw and a ball-peen hammer). After a bit of fine tuning and editing, we have a polished, whiz-bang of a script, and I tearfully wave goodbye as it moves out of my hands and into the developer’s for visuals and animation. (SNIFF!) It never gets any easier when your children leave you!
HUH?: “ Oh, look Francine! Look at all the Nature!”
TRIVIA ANSWER: The Cincinnati Reds, of course!
Brandon Ogle :: Flash Developer
WHO: What do you get when you cross an artist and a math geek? Me. Wait... I think I told it wrong. Let me try another one. How may people with ADD does it take to change a light bulb? ... WANT TO RIDE BIKES?! It wasn't easy to find a career that's as creative as it is technical AND throws new stuff at me every five minutes. But what can I say, I found my glass slipper. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get back to the Ball.
WHAT: What don't I do? That might be an easier question to answer. In addition to animating Impact Movies; there's designing, training, developing new tools, troubleshooting, quality control, updating, etc. If I may commandeer another company's slogan, I don't make most of the Impact Movies you use, I make them better.
HUH?: Pants!
Andrew Ginier :: Graphic Designer / Flash Developer
WHO: I am a father of 5 and married to WONDER WOMAN. I am an artist at heart in every facet of the word. I love going camping with my family and teaching them about nature and cool survival techniques. My hobbies (aside from DESIGN in general) range from reading books from Lemony Snicket, Steve Almond etc... to Leon Lederman, Umberto Eco etc... I collect science, technology, invention and forensic magazines, I used to be a freelance case examiner (private investigator) so I am heavily into anti-piracy and surveillance technology... and like my second oldest son, I am a computer gaming fanatic. WOW, NWN, PSP, PS3, XBOX, Wii...drool...LOLCats are funny, no really.
WHAT: My job is my passion. My passion is imagining and creating a visual communication of what people want to say. I have been doing this most of my life and I can't wait until the next project comes my way. I design what you want people to feel and see. I mold and shape your ideas into an amalgam of eye catching information that makes you LOTS of money... Can I have some?
HUH?: To walk in rain to a destination brings forth the same result of dampness if you were to run, so carry an umbrella...Time is only relative to it's observer... Patterns are everywhere and if you pay attention you can foresee the future... Math is the key to the universe... God is LOVE...A samurai is one who does not fear death, but embraces inevitability to focus his life on what matters most... Family is what happiness grows in... and if you touch my coffee bro, I see that 20 years of Okinawan Kempo will quickly rain a pattern of mathematical inevitability on your happy @$$... GOD is LOVE.
Jennie Lee :: Director of Client Services
WHO: I'm the Drama Queen of AngelVision, but in a good way-I recently moved to Portland from Fairfield, Iowa, where I spent the last 13 years teaching acting, directing, and founding a Performing Arts Conservatory. I'm just beginning to find my way into the Portland theatre scene by directing my first play production here-finally!-but have mainly been able to contribute the talents of my son (he may be the star, but I trained him!), who has been acting in plays and movies since we've moved here, while I take on this new life in the business world to support our life in the Arts. And yes, I was kind enough to cast him in my play-it's a family affair!
Basically, I live on the phone, inviting anyone who will listen to join us for our free online "Coffee" presentation. Kind of like the Sirens that sang to the sailors at sea to entice them to come closer, but with no crashing on the rocks-just a $5 gift certificate for Starbucks and a fabulous educational presentation by our Fearless Leader. I like to think of myself as the 'warm-up' act for the audience, or the 'Coffee Goddess'--sharing the possibilities that are available to you, and inviting you to learn more in an effort to help your business become even MORE successful! Besides, how often in business to you get to offer so much "SOMETHING" for the popular price of "NOTHING"?! Pretty cool, huh!
HUH?: Live well, laugh often, love much.
Mike Williams :: Sales & PR
WHO: I grew up on the east coast outside of Boston, went to high school in Sacramento (Go Grizzlies…GRRRR) and ended up finding my way up to Portland after graduating from the business school at the University of Oregon. I’ve always had a business-minded mentality. When I was in kindergarten, I would barter the hard to find red volcano rocks that I found around the playground for my classmate’s juice boxes. If I ended up with grape flavor, it was a profitable day. Now I’m in sales…weird.
WHAT: I work more on the front end of the AngelVision sales cycle. So I will be the guy who introduces you to the Impact Movies and answers any exploratory questions you may have about how to implement them into the existing sales and marketing for your company. I’m also involved in the public relations here at AngelVision. I write up press releases for our clients who want to announce the release of their Impact Movie to the world as one of the advanced options we sell.
HUH?:Will work for waffles…
Wendy Russel :: Director of Client Services
WHO: I have been at AngelVision for over a year now. AngelVision is my favorite hobby. I talk to people on the phone to sign them up for our Webinar “Coffee with AngelVision”, I make reminder calls. I send out surveys and talk to clients and do case studies about their experience with AV and how the IM is doing for them. I collect quotes and references.
WHAT: I love coming to work -- who wouldn’t? They feed me lunch on Friday. We have competitions for Trail Blazers’ tickets. We have outings a couple of times a year. It doesn’t feel like work.
In my other life, I am an artist. I paint meditative paintings that I call Light Writings.
In my personal life, I am happily married to a wonderful man. He is a music thanasotologist. He plays harp for people in the dying process. I have an amazing son who is an awesome hockey player. Yes, I am a hockey mom. There is no sleeping in on the weekends.
HUH?: Ice time can be as early as 5:30am!
Lindsey Lischka :: Manager of Client Services
WHO: Originally from Oklahoma some may think I am a little out of my element here in Portland. I received my MBA and BS from Stephens College in Missouri. After pursuing a career in the New York City fashion industry I followed my heart to the Pacific Northwest where I am now settled with my better half and our great dane Dante. Believe it or not I have learned to love the rain. As if I don't spend enough time at my desk and computer at AngelVision at the end of the day you can typically find me at home playing online games on my PC. Some of my other hobbies include knitting/crocheting, scrapbooking, being a Lord of the Rings fan, and avidly watching the show Lost on TV and DVD.
WHAT: Here at AngelVision my specialty is spreading the joyous word about Impact Movies. In layman's terms that means informing people about our Impact Movies, inviting them to learn more and sign up for Coffee with AngelVision. Making sure the most people find out about the wonderful things Impact Movies can do for their company is tough work! I also serve as Dirk's backup in the event he is kidnapped by aliens. My ultimate plan is to replace both Dirk AND his card-board cutout of Jean Luc Picard and take over the world!
HUH?: "It's a dangerous business.going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no telling where you might be swept off to."
Angie Jingozian:: Assistant to the President (he needs a lot of assistance), Bookkeeper, Michael’s Wife, Josh’s Mom, Company Shrink
WHO: I have the luxury of working from home Monday through Thursday while taking care of our baby, Joshua, and I am in the office on Fridays. I pay the bills, run payroll, reconcile the checking account, will soon take over the invoicing process, purchase supplies and equipment (I’m an eBay queen!), coordinate travel, get take-out for lunch, keep the refrigerator well stocked, run errands, and whatever else needs to be done.
WHAT: In my free time (what’s that?!), I facilitate support groups, read just about anything I can get my hands on, and recently started taking belly dancing classes. I am also recovering from giving birth and graduate school.
HUH? “People who say they sleep like a baby usually don’t have one.”
Joshua Jingozian:: Team Mascot
WHAT: I love to hear the sound of my voice. Sometimes I can be heard clear across the other side of the grocery store. Even so, grown-ups don’t always understand what I’m trying to tell them so mom is teaching me sign language. I can sign all done and more and I’m learning the signs for milk, water, eat, sleep, mom, dad, please and impact movie.
HUH? “I may be cute but I’m no push-over. Sometimes you have to be a slave driver to get things done.”
“Would you like advanced tracking with that?”
